The Sun, So Low

About The Sun, So Low:

In November and December 2018 I had the chance to participate in the Listhus Artist Residency program in Ólafsfjörður (Iceland). Beforehand, I decided to limit my photography to areas which I can reach by foot. In the winter times, Ólafsfjörður does not get touched by direct sunlight for nine weeks, and I got a taste of this for four weeks. Daylight was decreasing by four minutes every day, and the weather ranged from mellow over rainy to cold and finally to a three day blizzard – the sight of the sun became a rare occurence.
